The Transparent Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) Gas Diffusion Flow Cell (Model GDC) is a precision-engineered electrochemical flow reactor designed for advanced CO₂ Reduction Reaction (CO₂RR), carbon capture and utilization (CCU), electrocatalysis, gas diffusion electrode (GDE) research, and renewable energy applications. The transparent cell design enables real-time visualization of electrolyte flow, gas distribution, bubble formation, and catalyst behavior during electrochemical experiments.
Unlike conventional H-type electrochemical cells, this gas diffusion flow cell significantly reduces mass transport limitations, improves CO₂ availability at the catalyst surface, and enables operation at high current densities approaching industrial electrolysis conditions. It is ideal for evaluating catalyst activity, selectivity, Faradaic efficiency, and long-term stability under realistic reaction environments.
Manufactured using high-quality transparent acrylic (PMMA) with optional PTFE or PEEK components, the reactor offers excellent chemical resistance, leak-free operation, and modular construction for research flexibility.
